Hello,

The h+ organization is no longer accepting new chapters and further development of the h+ website, including h+ Events, has come to an end. However, h+ Phoenix, h+ Tucson, and the Life Extension Club are still active and will continue to be hosted on this website.

I am joining Humanity+ (formerly the World Transhumanist Association) to help promote the ethical use of emerging technologies to radically benefit the human condition.

I want to thank the local club leaders I have come in contact with, the club members of h+ Phoenix and h+ Tucson who helped me develop our particular h+ concept and branding, and all the enthusiastic and supportive visitors to this website. Thank you! I hope you will join me over at Humanity+ as we get to work implementing a shared vision of the (near) future of humanity transformed by emerging technologies and scientific discovery!

Sincerely,

Richard Leis, Jr.
Founder - h+
Adviser - h+ Phoenix and h+ Tucson

This is not a "sit around and listen to a few presenters" sort of conference. Instead, we're going to have a bunch of small workshops where groups brainstorm about solutions to some of the challenges we face, research those solutions, and come up w/ recommendations.

h+ Tucson Meeting - The Right Infrastructure

If the infrastructure in the United States continues to crumble, how can we compete in a world of technological leapfrogging, a rising middle class and labor pool in developing countries, and other results of globalization? Foreign investors are gambling that Americans are going to respond to the issue, and soon.

Welcome to h+ Tucson's first meeting of the Fall 2008 semester. The presidential elections are right around the corner, the economy is uncertain, and technological progress continues at a bewildering pace. Just what are the issues of the day and why does the United States need a massive investment in infrastructure, NOW? Find out this Friday!

The Immortality Update - Kelsey Moody (MFURI)

Date and Time: Sunday, June 1, 2008 at 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM Local Time (10:00 PM - 11:00 PM UTC)

Location: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/immortality-update

Description:

Have you heard of the Methuselah Foundation Undergraduate Research Initiative?

The Methuselah Foundation Undergraduate Research Initiative is quite possibly the most impressive opportunity for undergraduate students who plan on pursuing a career in scientific research. At the time of the formation of MFURI, there was no precedent for undergraduate led research teams within the United States. Now, through the networking and support provided by the Methuselah Foundation, and the preliminary efforts made by our teams, we have made it possible for this to occur.

Imminst members are also discussing how to move this initiative along

Tune in to this Sunday's Immortality Update to discuss the MFURI and other SENS related issues with the founder of the project - Kelsey Moody.

The program begins at 5pm CDT (22:00 GMT)
